WILSON, N.C. – It was a fun night at the ballpark on Saturday, as the Wilson “Wookies” battled the Lillington “Space Pirates.”

In a seven inning exhibition contest, the Wookies took down the Space Pirates 3-1 in Star Wars Night at Historic Fleming Stadium.

After falling behind 1-0 in the top of the first inning, the Wookies battled back, limiting the Space Pirates to just one run on two hits throughout the seven inning affair.

Offensively, Dawerlyn Amancio led the charge for Wilson, smoking a two-run homer and an RBI single to score all three of the Wookies runs on the evening.

The Tobs are back in action on Sunday evening at 6 p.m. ET to welcome the Tri City Chili Peppers to Wilson.
