GREENVILLE, N.C. – The Wilson Tobs (18-13) returned to the win column Tuesday night with a 4-1 victory over the Greenville Yard Gnomes (11-20).

Wilson struck early, taking a 2-0 lead behind the aggressive baserunning of Jakhari Howard. After stealing second, Howard came home during a rundown involving Jack Kail. In the next inning, Howard drew a walk that brought Carter Murphy across the plate.

Greenville managed to score once in the bottom of the fifth, but the Tobs’ pitching staff shut them down from there. Wilson added insurance in the later innings with runs from Charlie Bussey and Kail to secure the 4-1 win.

Ryan Harrahill earned the start, while the bullpen combined to hold the Yard Gnomes scoreless the rest of the way.

The Tobs head to Morehead City on Wednesday before returning home to Fleming Stadium on July 17 for a St. Patrick’s Day-themed showdown against the Wilmington Sharks. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. Only eight home games remain in the 2025 regular season.
