Greenville, N.C. – In a low-scoring game, the Tobs (17-11) lose their last game before the All-Star break against the Yard Gnomes (8-17).

 

Wilson took an early lead to start the game. Matthew Williams singled and was driven home by Chase Waddell to make it 1-0 in the first.

 

In the third inning, Greenville scored three runs proving to be enough to take home the win. The Tobs bullpen was able to keep them scoreless for the rest of the night.

 

The Tobs were able to tack on one more to finalize the game 3-2 in favor of Greenville.

 

Josh Wise got the start on the mound, going three innings. Hunter Dyck, Carson Everette, Ethan Wilford, and Ethan Atchley pitched scoreless frames. Dyck went two innings with three strikeouts and no hits. 

 

The Tobacconists are back in action on July 10th against the Yard Gnomes at 7:00pm. It will be Salute to Service – all service members and veterans receive free entry to the game.

 

Chase Waddell, Casey O’Dell, Charlie Bussey and Carter Murphy will represent the Tobs at the All-Star game in Macon, Georgia on July 6th & 7th.
