Wilson, NC- The Wilson Tobs will host their annual Healthcare Heroes Night on Thursday at 7:00P.M. It is also the sixth Thirsty Thursday this summer which means there will be $1 select draft all night long in the Carolina Brewery Beer Garden. Wilson is 4-1 on Thursday games this year, 3-1 in CPL contests. The Tobs will face off with one of their eastern division rivals the Morehead City Marlins. The Marlins currently had a 1-0 in the second half and boast an overall record of 19-6, which was good enough to finish in first place in the East Division two games in front of the Tobs.
Wilson will look to get back in the win column as they tried to end a three-game losing skid, 0-2 in the last CPL games. Tobs fell on the road to the Tri-City Chili Peppers 9-3 on Tuesday, and game up short in a seven-inning exhibition Wednesday night against the Wake Forest Fungo 8-3.
The Tobs are 1-3 against Morehead City this season, the lone win coming at home on June 18th. Wilson won a defensive battle 2-1. The Marlins won the most recent matchup on June 24th at Big Rock Stadium 6-5 in a game that had a combined five errors. Wilson will try to wake up the bats and Morehead City will look to continue to shine on the mound with their excellent pitching.
Tickets are still available online through Showpass, and fans can catch the action all season long on flobaseball.tv
