The Wilson Tobs are ready to get back to baseball after a week off with their 2nd High School Varsity Baseball Classic of 2023. The event will be at Historic Fleming Stadium on Friday, March 31st and Saturday, April 1st, 2023. The Classic will feature (7) games, involving (14) schools from around North Carolina.

As normal, there is no TEAM monetary entry fee, but instead, the fee will be non-perishable food donations. Food donations provided by players, coaches, and fans will be distributed to food pantries to feed those who are less fortunate in the Wilson County area in participation with the Wilson Tobs Annual Home Run 4 Hunger Program.

For just $6, fans can purchase an all-day pass and enjoy a full day of baseball action at Historic Fleming Stadium (5 and under FREE). Gates will open 45 minutes prior to the start of the first game of the day.

The 2022 CPL Eastern Conference Champion Wilson Tobs will open up their 2023 season on Sunday, May 28th. This game will feature pregame band Matty Begs and a postgame Firework Extravaganza show. The final (2) Firework Extravaganzas of the season will be Saturday, July 1st and Saturday, August 5th. The Wilson Tobs enter their 27th season as a founding member of the Coastal Plain League. The upcoming season for the Tobs will see an expanded community outreach effort, increased participation in helping the less fortunate, a Pettit Cup Championship team, and a fan experience like you have never seen. We would like to dedicate each successful season to the Wilson Community, Coastal Plain League Organization, Host Families, Corporate Partners, and the Dedicated Fans throughout the city of Wilson. The Wilson Tobs have played host to over 100 alumni taken in the draft and have produced a dozen players who have gone on to play in the MLB, including Cy Young & MVP winner Justin Verlander.
