Pat Barrett

Bio

Pat Barrett brings a range of experience from his time at multiple levels of the collegiate ranks. A native of Wantagh, NY. Barrett played collegiately for one season at Briarcliffe College before finishing his playing career at Virginia Wesleyan College in Virginia Beach, VA. Barrett graduated with his Bachelors degree in Social Sciences with a concentration in Parks & Recreation from VWC.

Pat began his coaching career as the Pitching Coach at Albertus Magnus College a D3 school located in New Haven, CT in 2018 and then in the summer of 2018, he was the pitching coach for the Riverhead Tomcats of the Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League. While with the Tomcats, he helped lead the team to it’s first league championship in the 11 year history of the organization.

Pat then transitioned to Franklin Pierce University, where he was their Pitching Coach and he also spent one season as the Pitching Coach/Recruiting Coordinator for West Virginia Wesleyan College. From WVWC he then spent two seasons as the Director of Baseball Operations/Player Development at Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia. At Longwood, he helped with all aspects of the baseball program both on and off the field where his duties included handling the day to day operations as well as working to incorporate the latest data and technology player development tools.

Barrett then spent time as both the Pitching Coach & Assistant Recruiting Coordinator for Texas A&M University Texarkana, then a bit of time as the Pitching Coach for Hartford CC and then also a bit of time as an Assistant Coach at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.

Currently, Pat is serving as the Pitching Coach for the Columbia State CC Chargers in Columbia, TN.
