Cartwright comes to the Tobs hot off of his first season of coaching following his five year college career. Cartwright, an outfielder by trade during his playing days, got his first taste of coaching in summer league baseball for the River City Skippers in the ONSL. This Skipper lead the Skippers to a successful inaugural season for the franchise and looks to bring that success to Wilson.

Coach Cartwright had this to say when asked about the opportunity to call Wilson home in the summer of 2024, “I am very excited to be in Wilson, just to be a part of a team and a town with such a great baseball history is special. I’m looking forward to the summer nights under the lights of Fleming Stadium and getting to Coach some of the best talent this game has to offer.”

When those lights do first flicker on at Fleming stadium this summer on May 23rd, Cartwright and the ’24 Tobs will have only one goal in mind, bringing home a championship to Wilson.
