Bio
Mike Bell is entering his 12th season with the Wilson Tobs and his 8th as General Manager. Prior to being General Manager he served as the Director of Ticket & Group Sales for 3 years and took on responsibilities of an Assistant General Manager. Mike is a great example of starting at the bottom of an organization as a 1st year intern and eventually working his way to the General Manager position.
Mike was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA and is all about his Pittsburgh professional teams. Him and his family moved from Pittsburgh to Charlotte, NC when he was 12. While in Charlotte he was highly involved in baseball and hockey.
Mike attended East Carolina University (ECU) where he earned his bachelors degree in Sports Studies, minor in Business, and a minor in Psychology. He continued his education at ECU by obtaining a Masters degree in Sport Management. As a student at ECU he was inducted to the National Collegiate Honor Society, selected for the Deans List, served as management in Student Government Council, and was as the Captain/President of the East Carolina Hockey Club. While attending ECU Mike worked with the Wilson Tobs, and interned with the Charlotte Checkers (Professional Hockey) corporate sales department.
Currently he is a member of the Rotary Club of Greater Wilson and Gig360 Young professionals. Mike is big supporter of the Wilson Community and the wonderful people that live here. His goals are to keep the sport of baseball thriving in Wilson, help the community out through multiple projects, and provide top notch entertainment to all in attendance.
