Joni first became associated with the Tobs starting in 2006, when our son came home from school and said his friend was hosting a Tobs player and he wanted one too. They became a host family that year hosting a conditional player who ended up staying the entire season.  The Shelton family still is in touch with him and his family. In 2025 Joni will be celebrating her 20th year of being a Wilson Tobs Host Family.

Photography has always been one of her hobbies.  She has enjoyed sharing Tobs photos with fellow host families and the player’s family members back home.  She has also invested time in local photography, especially around our farm and other events in Wilson.
