FLEMING STADIUM – With the recent revelation of isolated, grandstand issues at Historic Fleming Stadium, the Wilson Tobs are committed to providing baseball fans a safe and enjoyable viewing experience during the High School Varsity Classics. Although a slight fan experience inconvenience will occur during the events this weekend and throughout the spring, the refortification process is an immediate step to ensure Fleming Stadium’s near-term safety and viability. “The allure of Fleming Stadium has always been its structural beauty and its uncanny ability to create treasured memories,” Tobs President Greg Suire said. “Our organization is centered around player development and the ‘fan experience’ so although an inconvenience has arisen our franchise and Fleming Stadium will persevere.” For this weekend’s Tobs Varsity Classic, fans will be directed to stadium center seating – section 103, 104, 105 and 106 – as well as the concourse sections down the first and third base lines.
The Wilson Tobs home opener and Band Jam, featuring Matty Begs, will be Thursday May 26th, followed by the memorial weekend Firework Extravaganza on Sunday May 29th, 2022. The final (2) Firework Extravaganzas of the season will be Saturday, July 2nd, and Saturday July 30th (last regular season home game). Season tickets and ticket packages are on sale now and can be purchased by calling (252) 291-8627, or by visiting www.wilsontobs.com
The Wilson Tobs enter their 26th season as a founding member of the Coastal Plain League. The upcoming season for the Tobs will see an expanded community outreach effort, increased participation in helping the less fortunate, a Pettit Cup Championship team, and more exciting entertainment for the Wilson Community. We would like to dedicate each successful season to the Wilson Community, Coastal Plain League Organization, Host Families, Corporate Partners, and the Dedicated Fans throughout the city of Wilson.
