Wilson, NC -The Wilson Tobs are excited to announce three pitchers who will be joining the ball club this summer. Dylan Brosky, Brent Francisco and Tom Reisinger all come to the Tobs from winning Pennsylvania schools and are sure to bring that attitude with them to Wilson. With pitching being a premium in the CPL, these arms are a great addition to the 2022 Tobs roster.

Dylan Brosky is a RS Jr from East Millboro, PA and has been a mainstay in the California University of Pennsylvania Vulcans rotation over his career. The 6’1 RHP has made 25 starts, going 17-6 with 2 saves. In his 166.1 innings pitched , Brosky has held opposing batters to a .225 batting average while striking out 160 and only walking 59. After a solid 2021 spring, he pitched in the Prospect League for the Johnston Mill Rats. In his 5 starts there, Brosky was as advertised and struck out 25 over 30 IP while walking a mere 7 batters. So far this spring, Brosky has been fantastic. In his 9 starts, he has thrown 3 complete games with a no-hitter against IUP on April 10th. In 51.1 IP so far in 2022, he has 59 k to 12 BB while holding opponents to a .168 BAA. Adding Brosky’s experience and superior command to the rotation this summer is a vital addition to the pitching staff and adds an element of confidence to the team knowing a seasoned vet will be toeing the rubber.

Brent Francisco comes to Wilson this summer from East Stroudsburg University. The 6’7 250lb giant of a righty is a Burlington Township, NJ native and currently in his RS Sophomore year at ESU. Since Fransico has stepped foot on the Warriors campus, he has been nothing short of electric. Although his freshman season in 2020 was cut short due to COVID, Francisco made 2 starts throwing 13 innings and striking out 22 with only 6 hits given up. After a solid spring in 2021, Fransisco took his talents to the CPL with the Asheboro Copperheads (now ZooKeepers) where he made 6 starts, striking out 28 in 27 innings pitched. Thus far this spring, Francisco has been lights out. In 12 starts, the burly righty has amassed 87 Ks in just 64 IP with only 10 BB. With superior leverage and a low 90’s fastball, he will be an uncomfortable at bat for opposing hitters this summer. Coach Markotay is excited to bring yet another standout ESU Warrior to Wilson. With a high ceiling and previous CPL experience, there is a lot to like in Francisco.

Joining teammates Francisco and previously announced catcher Tim Haverstick, Tom Reisinger will also be a Tob this summer. The 6’4 RHP is from Kulpmont, PA and in his sophomore season at ESU. After pitching out of the pen his freshman season for the Warriors, Reisinger went to the NYCBL to become a starter and did not disappoint. In 6 starts for the Syracuse Salt Cats, Reisinger struck out 51 in 32 IP while walking only 12 and holding opponents to a .224 BAA. After a stellar freshman summer in NY, he took his confidence as a starter back to ESU and continued his dominance on the mound. This spring for the Warriors, Reisinger has made 11 starts going 5-3 and holding hitters to an impressive .228 BAA. In his 48 innings of work, he has struck out 67 and given up only 10 XBH. With a 3 pitch mix of Fastball, Curveball and ChangeUp he has the ability to attack hitters from all angles. His fastball sits 90-91mph with a high spin rate that’s been up to 2500 rpm. His ability to tunnel the breaking ball off of the high spin sets him apart and his change up is there to keep hitters guessing.

With additions like these 3 pitchers, the Tobs look to hang their hat on bullying the strike zone this summer, getting the defense off the field as quickly as possible and back in the batter’s box to score more runs.
