Wilson, NC- Come kick-off your 4th of July Weekend with the Tobs tonight at Historic Fleming Stadium. Wilson will take on the Martinsville Mustangs for the first time with season. Tickets are going fast, but there are still some avaliable online through showpass.

Friday night’s contest against the Florence Flamingos was rained out, a makeup date will be announced at a later time. Last time out for the Tobs, they came from behind twice to defeat the first place Morehead City Marlins by a final score of 9-7. Wilson had three homeruns from Efry Cervantes, Jay Luikhart and Mason Sykes that would propel them to victory. Wilson currently leads the CPL with 34 homeruns coming into tonight’s contest.

The back of the bullpen shut the door and inevitably won the Tobs the game. Tom Reisinger, Jake Curry and Brent Francisco did not allow a Marlin in the final four innings. Reisinger picked up his first win of the season with an impressive line of two hits, one walk and six strikeouts. Brent Francisco earned save number five after facing off with one more than the minimum.
