DENVER – With the 385th overall pick in the 13th round of the 2021 MLB Draft, the Philadelphia Phillies selected three-year Tob Jared Carr (Shepherd) on Tuesday afternoon.

During the last two seasons in Wilson, Carr hit .329 in 35 games totaling 47 hits. He scored 33 runs, hit 11 homeruns and drove in 38 runs during his career while stealing 13 bases.

In 2020, Carr led the Tobs in homeruns (8), RBIs (26) and slugging percentage (.753) while posting the third best batting average on the team (.356).

During the 2021 season, Carr batted .343 in 18 games on 24 hits. He hit three homeruns, scored 17 runs and drove in 12 runs.

Carr becomes the sixth overall Wilson Tob taken in the 2021 MLB Draft joining Trey Sweeney (Yankees – 1st Round), Jake Schrand (Marlins – 9th Round), Austin Vernon (Rays – 10th Round), Mitch Myers (A’s – 12th Round) and Chris Meyers (Tigers – 13th Round).
