Wilson, NC – The Tobs’ contest against the Yard Gnomes was suspended in the fourth inning due to inclement weather. Wilson is trailing 8-2.

 

Wilson scored two runs on a Matt Williams single in the bottom of the first inning to take a 2-1 lead, but it was all Yard Gnomes after that.

 

Greenville scored three runs in the 2nd and added four on a grand slam from Nick Palmi to push the Yard Gnomes ahead 8-2, which is the score the game was suspended with.

 

The game will resume at 6:00 p.m. on July 24th from the bottom of the 4th inning on – followed by the regularly scheduled game against Greenville. The second contest will only be 7 innings.

 

Wilson is back in action on Friday night against Peninsula, the top-seeded team in the East. The Tobs then host the Yorktown Coconuts for an exhibition game Saturday night at Historic Fleming Stadium.
